Cotton, and why the staple matters
A knitted throw needs a cotton with enough twist to hold a stitch pattern. Too soft and the relief disappears; too hard and the throw feels like rope.

For a gray sofa that needs a warm color.
A chunky cotton knit with a raised diamond lattice, finished with long twisted fringe on both ends. Mustard or pale sage.
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent. Tumble dry low or hang dry. Wash separately for the first few cycles: deep and saturated colours release a little dye at first. Do not bleach, do not dry clean.
Textured weaves such as seersucker, waffle and gauze are meant to look relaxed: they need no ironing, and they soften with every wash.
Free standard shipping on orders over $99. Standard delivery takes 6 to 10 business days, priority 5 to 8. You'll get a tracking number as soon as your order ships.
Free returns for 60 days. Sleep on it, literally. If it isn't right, start a return from your account and we'll send you a prepaid label. Items should come back in a re-sellable condition.
Wrong size? We'll exchange it, and we cover the shipping both ways.
The fabric
Built from loops rather than threads, which is why a knit drapes the way it does.

A knitted throw needs a cotton with enough twist to hold a stitch pattern. Too soft and the relief disappears; too hard and the throw feels like rope.

A raised diamond or cable is made by crossing loops, not by printing or weaving in a second colour. It reads in relief from across a room, and it looks the same on both faces.

Knits stretch when they are wet and heavy. Wash cold on a gentle cycle, then dry flat or on low. Hanging a wet knit is what makes it grow.
Not if it is knotted rather than cut, which is how ours are finished.
Warmer than a woven throw of the same weight, because the loops hold air.
Yes, folded across the foot. It is cut for a sofa but the size works on a bed too.
