Details

A fine pinstripe, the line of a good shirt, on a puckered cotton seersucker that stays relaxed. Solid from the doorway, striped from the edge of the bed.

  • Duvet cover and matching shams, one sham in Twin, two in Full / Queen and King
  • Corner ties inside keep the insert in place
  • 100% cotton seersucker, machine wash cold, no ironing

Materials + Care

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent. Tumble dry low or hang dry. Wash separately for the first few cycles: deep and saturated colours release a little dye at first. Do not bleach, do not dry clean.

Textured weaves such as seersucker, waffle and gauze are meant to look relaxed: they need no ironing, and they soften with every wash.

Shipping + Returns

Free standard shipping on orders over $99. Standard delivery takes 6 to 10 business days, priority 5 to 8. You'll get a tracking number as soon as your order ships.

Free returns for 60 days. Sleep on it, literally. If it isn't right, start a return from your account and we'll send you a prepaid label. Items should come back in a re-sellable condition.

Wrong size? We'll exchange it, and we cover the shipping both ways.

The fabric

Seersucker

A puckered stripe, woven in. It only touches your skin in places, which is the whole idea.

Cotton, and why the staple matters

Cotton, and why the staple matters

Seersucker is made by holding some warp threads tight and letting others run slack on the same loom. The slack threads bunch, and the pucker is permanent because it is structural, not pressed in.

Pinstripe Cotton Seersucker Duvet Cover Set, Air between you and the cloth

Air between you and the cloth

Because the surface is raised in bands, only part of it rests against you. Air moves through the gaps. It is the reason seersucker was a summer fabric long before air conditioning.

Never needs ironing

Never needs ironing

Ironing would flatten the pucker and undo the fabric. Wash warm, tumble dry low, put it on the bed. It cannot look creased, because it is meant to be.

Questions about this fabric

Will the pucker wash out?

No. It comes from the tension on the loom, not from a finish, so it survives the life of the fabric.

Is it only for summer?

It is at its best in warm weather, but the texture works all year on a bed that already has a quilt or a throw.

Does it feel rough?

No. The raised bands are soft; the texture is in the relief, not in the hand.
